The Modern Language Teachers Association of Tasmana (MLTAT) is a professional association for Languages teachers in Tasmania. The MLTAT provides professional learning, advocacy and support to teachers and schools within Tasmania.

NEW CALEDONIA OPPORTUNITY
Are you a non-native French speaker teaching French in a primary or high school in Australia?
The FATFA and the French Embassy are organising a 2 week training opportunity for teachers of French to develop their skills alongside other teachers from all over Australia.
It mainly consists of: 1 week of French courses at INSPE: Institut National Supérieur du Professorat et de l’Education (National Institute for teaching and education) with accommodation + lunch included; 1 week immersion in a school with a paired local teacher with accommodation and all meals included; 1 week-end in the South of NC all included. The total amount of this training is about $3000 (without airfare, you need to organise your own airfare). The French Embassy could help cover some of the costs (maximum $800) and your local state French Teachers Association may also help financially.
